RENO COUNTY, Kan. The Reno County Sheriff's Office warns of a man calling around, posing as a "James Marshall" with its department.
The sheriff's office says "James Marshall" will tell you there is a warrant out and that you need to pay money to avoid arrest. The caller might say you were subpoenaed and didn't show up.
As this is a scam, the Reno County Sheriff's Office says you should not give them any information.
The sheriff's office says it does not have an employee named James Marshall and no one from the department will ever ask anyone to pay a bond or a fine over the phone.
