RILEY COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) The Riley County Poice Department warns to residents after two skimmers were found in the 400 block of Riley Ave. in Ogden.

The department says the skimmers were found on a gas pump in the area, and if you paid for fuel, you'll want to keep an eye out on your bank account.

The department says since only two skimmers were found, there is a chance there may be others that haven't been seen yet.

"Even if you did not shop at this store--we need you to monitor your financial records in the off chance there are more in our community," the department wrote on its Facebook page.

There are different types of skimmers:
•Some are external on gas pumps or ATMs, but can blend in
•Other are internal and steal your information electronically

What Riley County police recommend:
•Be aware when you fill up, and notice if something is different at the pump
•Look to make sure security seals are not broken
•Watch your bank statements regularly
•Report criminal activity when it happens
