Yesterday's eclipse made history but for some families August 21 will have a different meaning.
A South Carolina family welcomed their newest family member on Eclipse Day.
In honor of the big day, they named their daughter Eclipse.
"We're all born on, you know, just normal days. So, it's just a normal birth, but, you know, you never really get to experience wow, you know, my child is born on something that happens every so many years. You know, it's extremely rare," says proud father Michael Eubanks.
The couple originally planned to name their child violet.
She was due September 3 but mom went into labor early.
Staff at the hospital had special eclipse onesies made for babies born yesterday.
