Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that the wind will pick up and temperatures will be soaring for the remainder of the week. Highs will be getting back above normal heading into the weekend.
Clouds will gradually increase during the night, but other than a stray shower, dry conditions should continue. Lows will fall to around 60 with a light south breeze.
It will be a little on the windy side for Thursday afternoon. South winds will gust to near 30 mph with highs climbing into the low to mid 90s. It will be feel like a summer day with mostly sunny skies throughout the area. Although a few showers may skirt northwest Kansas Thursday night, they won't be around long.
Friday is looking windy, hot, and more humid. We still expected our best chance for rain to be coming Saturday night with the next cold front.
