WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) As we get ready to close the door on 2017, Eyewitness News thought it would be a good time to look back at everything you've done to warm our hearts and help our community.
This year gave us a lot of reasons to be Kansas Proud, like Wichita's Olympic Medalist Nico Hernandez's September victory.

In the trying days following Kansas' worst wildfires, you came together to help rebuild from the ashes.
When Houston was drowning from Hurricane Harvey.
"We wanted to help as much as possible," says Colin Grimes.
Kansans traveled by truck, bus, and boat to help their neighbors in Texas.
When we aren't facing extreme devastation, the people here in Kansas show support in the most meaningful ways.
Such as David Brown's unique tattoo.
"If he was able to do it and go through with surgery and get the implants, then I wanted to get tattoos so that way he didn't feel so odd."
A stranger who offered their time and money to build a special bed and football players who get their strength from the strongest warrior of all.
