Two critically hurt in Butler County crash

BUTLER COUNTY, Kan. Two people are in critical condition after a crash in Butler County. Emergency crews were called to 110th and Meadowlark Road near Andover shortly before 11:00 this morning (Tuesday).

Police at the scene tell us one of the drivers did not yield the right of way at the intersection. They say the crash involved a white Chevy truck that was southbound on Meadowlark Road and a gray Dodge truck that was westbound on Southwest 110th.

Police say the Chevy's 21-year-old driver from Derby was seriously injure. The passenger in that vehicle, an 18-year-old man from Belle Plaine, was ejected and airlifted with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Dodge -- a 39-year-old man from Augusta -- suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance, police say.
