Two school buses collide in east Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Wichita police Wednesday afternoon responded to a crash involving two buses with the Wichita school district. A spokesperson for the district says there were no serious injuries in the crash that happened about 3 p.m.at Old Manor and Elm, near Central and Edgemoor.

The spokesperson for the district said students on the bus were from Allison and Jardine middle schools. The spokesperson says a bus carrying two students from Jardine Middle School traveling north, failed to yield and was hit by a westbound bus from Allison Middle School, carrying nine students.

The bus from Jardine ended up on its side. The driver suffered minor injuries. Neither student was hurt. The driver and nine students on the bus from Allison were not injured, the spokesperson says.
