MORGANTOWN, WV (KWCH) The Wildcats failed to pounce the Mountaineers in Morgantown on Saturday, but the patriotism before the game is going viral.
An apparent technical glitch inside the WVU Coliseum caused the soloist's voice to continuously go in and out. Instead of waiting around for IT to come up with a fix, the crowd joined in to help her finish the "Star Spangled Banner."
Nick Farrell with WV Illustrated, an online publication for the West Virginia University Mountaineers, captured the patriotic moment on video and posted it to Facebook twice. Combined, it's been viewed by more than 600,000 people and shared nearly 18,000 times.
