Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that the windy weather will stay through the weekend with extreme fire danger and temperatures running about 20 degrees warmer than normal.
Skies will mainly be clear through most of the night. Lows will fall only to the 40s with gusty winds staying out of the south. Saturday afternoon will continue to be windy with highs in the 60s and 70s. Some clouds may show up in central and eastern Kansas, but there's no chance for rain.
Sunday continues to look very warm with highs in the 60s and 70s and it will still be windy. Clouds will increase for central and eastern Kansas, but rain chances are slim heading into the night. Any rainfall will be light (under .10") and should end very quickly.
Next week cools off with more windy weather from Monday through midweek.
