WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Warren Theatres has donated $5,000 to help with the recovery of Officer Brian Arterburn.
Arterburn was injured in the line of duty when he was run over by a fleeing suspect on February 7. He remains in critical condition in a Wichita hospital.
“We have always had a wonderful relationship with officers of the Wichita Police Department. We’ve gotten to know many of those officers who have helped with security at our theatres,” said Warren Theatres President Bill Warren. “We want to be there for Brian and his family, and we hope other people and companies will too.”
The Honore Adversis Foundation was created by the Wichita Fraternal Order of Police. It provides financial assistance and services to Wichita officers in good standing with the Wichita FOP who have been hurt or killed in the line of duty or suffer medical conditions or personal hardships. To date, the foundation has given money to three officers and their families, including Arterburn.
