WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Westar crews are not only restoring the power in Florida, and they're restoring faith in humanity.

The energy company posted a photo on Facebook Monday. It shows an employee who was asked to join a prayer circle with some residents in Miami.

"They were overjoyed and wanted me to participate in a prayer of thanksgiving for our Westar folks. I was honored to represent all of the guys," said Brad Kesl, Westar's Director of Manhattan Division Operations, who submitted the photo.

Kesl has been with crews in Florida since Hurricane Irma hit.

Sixteen Westar crews joined more than 18,000 workers to help restore power to more than 5.5 million people in Florida.
