Why Excel employees didn't receive WARN notices

We've heard from several Excel Industries employees wondering why they weren't given WARN notices, or a worker adjustment and retraining notification.

WARN is a federal law which requires employers to give 60 days notice before laying off workers.

In this case, Excel laid-off about 25 percent of the workforce, but it takes 33 percent to trigger WARN notices.

If a company lays off more than 500 workers...it also must give advance notice.
