Wichita man sentenced for sexually assaulting 2 runaway teens

WICHITA, Kan. A Sedgwick County District Court Judge Dec. 21 sentenced a Wichita man to 330 months in prison after the man was found guilty of sexually assaulting two teenage runaways in November 2015.

The Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office says 40-year-old Jordan Lewis was found guilty on two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, criminal sodomy and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

He was sentenced after being convicted of the crimes last month.

On Nov. 4, 2015, the district attorney's office says the girls, ages 15 and 16, were walking near 21st and Hydraulic when Lewis offered them a ride.

"Once in the car, the man pulled a gun and drove them to a house in the 2400 block of East Piatt where the girls were sexually assaulted by Lewis and another man," the district attorney's office says.

The district attorney's office says the 15-year-old girl escaped the home the next morning and ran to a neighbor's house for help. Lewis was arrested the next day.
