Crime of the Week: Police look for man who broke into E. Wichita restaurant

WICHITA, Kan. The Wichita Police Department Friday released video surveillance and information on a Jan. 18 break-in to an east Wichita Chinese restaurant.

The robbery is this week's Wichita/Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.

Police say on Jan. 18, an unknown man exited the passengers side of a vehicle, then broke into the Asian Super Buffet at 7600 E. Douglas by smashing the window with a hammer.

"Once inside, he used his hammer to smash the glass on two machines where he took the items displayed in those machines,including jewelry and gift cards," Wichita police say.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.

Police say you could be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,500 if your tip leads to an arrest.
