Wichita police arrest 1 of 3 'wanted' burglary suspects

Wichita Police arrest a 19-year-old man wanted for multiple robberies in the Wichita area.

Officers arrested Timothy J. Smith Jr. late Monday afternoon.

Police are still looking for 21-year-old Elijah Martinez, and 22-year-old Michael S. Baker of Pratt.

Investigators say the three men are responsible for two burglaries on S. Bluff last month in which police say the men forced entry into a home.

Inside, officers say the men had stolen guns, jewelry, personal documents belonging to the homeowner, and other household items.

Police say this is the second time the men broke into the same home.

A nearby neighbor noticed the suspicious activity helping police identify the men.

Detectives said the men could be armed and dangerous.

Michael Baker is wanted for one count of burglary.
