WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) A Wichita woman who was shot in the face Monday remains in critical condition. The 40-year-old man who was also on the scene at the time of the shooting has been arrested and booked into jail.
A woman suffered critical injuries in a shooting in west Wichita.
It happened just after 4:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of S. Maize Road.
Police say a 28-year-old woman was shot in the face.
They say it happened during a disturbance between the woman and a 40-year-old man. Police say they are possibly girlfriend and boyfriend.
Right now, officers are trying to determine if the gunshot wound was self-inflicted, accidental, or if someone else shot the woman.
They say the man and woman were the only ones in the home when the shooting occurred.
