WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Update:
TMZ says it has solved the "yanny" vs. "laurel" debate.
Spoiler alert - it's laurel.
The entertainment outlet says two guys surfing the internet (Redditor RolandCamry) ran across the word "laurel" on vocabulary.com.
When they played out the pronunciation, one guy heard "laurel" while his friend heard "yanny".
Audio experts tell TMZ the debate lies in how people hear frequencies differently.
A short audio clip originally published on Instagram is puzzling the Internet. Some people say they hear "Yanny" while others hear "Laurel."
It's the latest Internet debate since the original black and blue VS gold and white debacle back in 2015.
A Reddit user posted the clip of a robot reading the word. She asked other Reddit users what they heard.
Millions of people are weighing in on the debate. Eyewitness News wants to know: What do you hear?
