KU has won its past 26-consecutive conference openers, dating back to 1991.

With six Big 12 teams in the AP Top 25, senior point guard Devonte Graham described this conference-play as "a war."

"It's just night in and night out you've got to be prepared and [coach Bill Self] said you could lose the Big 12 in a week if you come into a game or two underestimating your opponent," he said. "The next thing you know, you lose two in a row and then the race is over. So you've got to be prepared night in and night out."

KU and Texas tip off Friday December 29th at 8:00 CT at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. The game airs on ESPN2.
