LAWRENCE, Kan. (KWCH) -- Bill Self holds the record for most home-and-home series wins at 101.
He has never lost a home-and-home series in his entire tenure as Head Coach of the Kansas Jayhawks.
That record is on the line in the regular season finale against Oklahoma State, as the Jayhawks fell to the Cowboys 84-79 at Allen Fieldhouse earlier this season.
Self joked that his players are not concerned with his record, but hopefully are concerned about riding momentum into the Big 12 Tournament.
"I don't know if Lagerald (Vick) and Malik are lying awake at night thinking, 'God, I really want this for Coach.' I don't think that's under consideration. So if they know about it, they know about it, but that's not going to be anything that will be motivation for them," he said. "They may be mad enough at me that they'll say, 'Okay, this will be a good way to get his (butt) back."
Kansas locked up the number one seed in the Big 12 Tournament starting next Wednesday in Kansas City.
