Hutch holds off Pratt to stay perfect

The #2 ranked Hutchinson Blue Dragons held off a scrappy Pratt team 108-105 to win their 20th game of the year. Trailing by three the Beavers had a chance to tie the game but Devon Andrews' shot was just off the rim and the Blue Dragons escaped with the win.

The Beavers got off to a hot start behind Andrews' 15 first half points and the teams were tied 49-49 at the half. In the second half the Blue Dragons seemed ready to pull away but Pratt never let them, keeping it close until the end.

Wichita State commit Samajae Haynes-Jones was quiet in the first half but exploded in the second, scoring crucial baskets when his team needed them most. He finished with 17, including two clutch free throws in the final seconds.
