LIVE BLOG: FGCU vs No. 11 Wichita State

After quite a bit of confusion, Shaq Morris is playing. He said he had migraines all week and was in street clothes before the game. However, he changed and is now a go.

Also - MARKIS MCDUFFIE IS BACK!!

8:09 - Shox lead, 27-17. Landry Shamet is leading the way with 11 points.

5:28 - Shox lead 30-22

2:04 - Shox lead 33-31. FGCU is hanging around despite being 17.5 point under dogs. I will say - WSU's defense has looked MUCH better tonight than the last 3 games in the first half at Koch Arena.

Marshall has played 12 guys tonight. Feels like a tryout of sorts.

Halftime - Wichita State leads, 35-33.
It has been a bizarre first half. Between 12 guys playing and WSU unable to pull away again. Landry Shamet still has 11 points - a high for the Shockers. Reaves is right behind him with 5 points.

2ND HALF

18:39 - Shaq Morris starts the 2nd half despite hurting his hand late in the first half. It's taped up.

15:23 Wichita State leads, 43-40. There is not much continuity offensively for Wichita State.

14:00 - Eagles lead 45-43. This game is wide open for anyone to take. Wichita State needs to be the Alpha Male, step up and knock these guys out of Koch Arena.

11:42 - FGCU leads 50-45. Shamet is the leader for WSU with 14 pts. Willis is 2nd with 7 pts. The crowd is doing everything in their power (yelling) to get the Shockers going.

9:41 - Eagles lead 55-52. Markis McDuffie is back to the bench. He's played 9 minutes thus far.

7:50 - FGCU on top 57-54. No significant runs by either team. We're one run away from someone pulling away.

6:17 Shockers lead 61-57. Landry Shamet is starting to play like the best player on the court. He now has a game-high 21 points.

4:00 - 61-61.... here we go....

2:27 WSU leads 65-61... another close one at The Roundhouse

1:37 - Wichita State on top, 67-62. Willis is making his presence felt despite not shooting well. (5-15)

1:03 Conner Frankamp hits a mega three ball! Shockers lead 70-63 after 2 FGCU free throws.

FINAL -
Wichita State wins, 74-65.

WSU's defense clamped down in the final 5 minutes.

Landry Shamet: 23 points
Darral Willis: 15 points, 13 reb.
Markis McDuffie: 3 points, 9 minutes
