Morris putting on his big-boy pants

Shaq Morris is playing some of his best basketball of his career right now.

In the last 5 games, the senior is averaging more than 18 points and 5 rebounds a game.

" I just talked to him earlier today and told him I proud I was of him," said Gregg Marshall. "He's really starting to emerge as a dominant force. The biggest thing for him his whole career has been consistency. I hope that we can get it for another eight weeks or so."

He and Austin Reaves have each scored 20-plus points in back-to-back games. Ron Baker was the last Shocker to string together 3-straight 20-point games.

Shaq has a team-high 29 dunks - 19 of those have come in conference play and nine in the last three games.

Wichita State is at Memphis Tuesday night for the firsts time since 1983. The game tips at 8:00 on CBS Sports Network.
