Every shooter goes through a slump at a point or points in a season. The key is to make that slide as short as possible. Right now, Austin Reaves is in a mini 2-game shooting slump.
The sophomore missed all five of his three pointers against Cincinnati and was 1-for-7 from the field and 0-for-3 from beyond the arc against UCF the game before that.
He's in a little slump," admitted head coach Gregg Marshall. "Unfortunately, he and Conner did not shoot the ball well against Cincinnati, 0-for-9 from three."I wouldn't anticipate that happening again. If it does we are going to have a hard time winning. Hopefully he can bounce back, find his stroke, get his confidence back and it'll make a huge difference for us."
Reaves is shooting 43.8% from deep this season with 1.8 three's a game. He hit a career-high 7-of-11 three's in January against Tulsa.
Wichita State will start their postseason play Friday night at 6pm against the winner of the Temple/Tulane game.
