Kansas freshman phenom Josh Jackson is heading to the desert to start his professional career.
The Phoenix Suns select Jackson with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. In his lone season with KU, Jackson averaged just north of 16 points and seven rebounds per game.
The All-American set a KU freshman record with 13 double doubles last season. KU Athletics says Jackson also set the KU freshman record with 220 field goals made and tied Danny Manning's freshman record of 258 rebounds.
With Phoenix, Jackson adds more young talent to one of the NBA's youngest teams. Last season, the Suns finished with a 24-58 final record.
