All World Beauties Pageants' mission is to celebrate the success of the modern woman. Local Wichitan and member of Asbury Church, Kathy Bond, was crowned Mrs. United States on June 17 at the All World Beauties National competition in Orlando, Flo. On her win, Bond says, "I will be happ to take the credit for the effort I put into this, but God received all the glory for the results."
All winners are responsible for arranging professional women's workshops, appearing on radio and tv, attending women's seminars and speaking to organizations. Bond is hoping to spread her faith through these obligations. "My hope is that God will be seen through this experience and that others will be enriched by God's touch," says Bond. She's also wanting to inspire women to believe in themselves and grow their self-worth.
Bond has been attending Asbury Church for many years. If you'd like to learn more about Asbury Church and their many services, visit http://asburychurch.org/ or http://www.fetchtoto.com/religion/asburyunitedmethodistchurch/.
