Via Christi Village on Georgetown hosted an open house to several hundred people on Oct. 14 to celebrate the completion of their interior remodeling project. Here are some highlights:

  • Guests were greeted at the door by residents and staff.
  • Tours were given by the marketing ladies and staff.
  • Harpist Jane Hawkins entertained everyone by the fireplace.
  • Guest were treated to lots of delicious food, including to a chocolate fountain, complete with strawberries, apples and bananas for dipping, a table of cheese and crackers, roll ups, cream puffs, punch and coffee.
  • Several residents showed off their apartments to guests.
  • Bingo was played in Westminster.
  • In Windsor, fitness class was offered, led to music.
  • In Concord, guests were treated to a bar of pretzels and root beer, while they  watched the residents play pool.
  • The Village Store was open and running with resident volunteers.
  • The bridge group played on a card table in the atrium.
