The Wichita Flight Festival kicks off September 28. Big name aerial performers like Tora Tora Tora and Rich Perkins are bringing high flying fun to Jabara Airport. Entrance to the festival is free, but night time concerts and food are not. Parking for the event is free, and patrons are invited to park at Jabara Airport (3512 N Jabara Rd.), Wichita Area Technical College (4004 N. Webb Rd.) and Hawker Beechcraft Lot E (east of Central from Webb). For out of town guests, two Wichita hotels are offering special rates- Hampton Inn & Suites and Marriot Spring Hill Suites at Plazzio. (Find information about the hotels here.

Event Schedule

Saturday, Sept. 28

10 a.m.- Gates Open. Enjoy static displays, Fly Market, Kid's Zone and DWTA Helicopter Rides.

11:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.- Air Show

3 p.m.- Gates Close

6 p.m.- Gates re-open for Twilight Air Show and Concert: Hotel California- The Original Eagles Tribute Band ($10 per ticket)

Sunday, Sept. 29

10 a.m.- Gates Open. Enjoy static displays, Fly Market, Kid's Zone and DWTA Helicopter Rides.

11:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.- Air Show

3 p.m.- Gates Close
