Wilson County Searchers Look For Man's Body

By Megahn Snyder (WILSON COUNTY, Kan.)

Wilson County search crews are looking for the body of man investigators say likely drown in Fall River near Neodesha.

Undersheriff William Green says Greg Fisher, 30, Yates Center, was at a nearby memorial Saturday evening for other people who have drown in the river. Witnesses say he went over a railing on the steps and they haven't seen him since.

Underwater recovery crews spent the weekend looking for him. So far Green has no plans to call off the search and wait for the body to surface.

Green says this is a dangerous area for people to walk. The memorial was placed there because so many people have fallen and drowned in the area.
