More than 23,000 residents are without power tonight as storms and tornadoes move through Kansas.
There were several reports of funnel clouds and tornado touchdowns in Western and Central Kansas.
One the of hardest hit this evening, Reno County, where almost 7000 people remain in the dark. Storms moved through the town of Hutchinson downing trees and powerlines. The roof a building near city hall was even ripped off.
Along many major highways, high winds tipped over semi tractor trailers. Emergency crews worked for hours in Reno County to remove a semi that was blown over. While in Harvey County another semi, along I-135, left southbound traffic at standstill.
So far no injuries have been reported tonight.
Meteorologists predict the worst is over with scattered thunderstorms throughout the night and into Tuesday.
