
UPDATE:
A three hour standoff in Anthony ended Wednesday afternoon when a man came out of a house and peacefully turned himself in.
Officers were called to the home shortly after 12:30. When they arrived, someone stuck a weapon out of front door and the standoff began.
Police say a 52-year-old man armed himself in his parents home. He eventually let them leave the house.
Police were able to communicate with the man by phone, but it was after a conversation with a family member that he gave up.
The man could face charges including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

A standoff in Anthony has police there waiting.
A Harper County dispatcher tells us it began just after 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. Police received a call to check on a person in the home. The situation escalated from there.
Officers say the man inside may be armed. They have evacuated at least a block radius around the home.
