(RICE COUNTY, Kan.)—
Rice County authorities are searching for a man they say robbed a bank in Chase.
The robbery took place Tuesday morning at the First Bank, 509 Main Street.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says it is launching a plane to help look for the suspect vehicle, described as a green late-90s Ford Explorer.
Police are looking for a black male in his mid-30s. He was around 6'5" tall and had dreadlocks. He was wearing a long coat.
Authorities say the man showed a weapon to clerks and demanded money. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact police.
