Our 'One of a Kind' Kansas stops

Our 'One of a Kind' Kansas stops (May 9, 2012)

Five days on the road and we've ended up in our fifth 'One of a Kind' Kansas town.  Anthony is our last stop for this road trip.  Anthony is 56 miles southwest of Wichita.  About 2,400 people live in town known for agriculture and oil.

On our Facebook page, Gweneth Reeder West posted when I was born in 1930, I remember that Dr. Galloway was THE doctor for our family. I still shop at Jetts and loved stopping to enjoy a soda at Irwin Potter's soda fountain the last trip to Anthony. It's a one of a kind town.

Lydia Moore posted, Anthony is a great small home town. One can always go back home to Anthony. Kristy's Kafe does have a awesome baked potato pizza. And it is where they had the horse races for 100 years ! And now its going good with the oil boom.

Mike and Jenn are making their way around town.  They'll visit the 9/11 memorial, stop at Jetts, a 100 year old clothing store and hang around for the Sunflower Balloon Fest.  Merril took the day off, to welcome his first grandchild into the world.

Tune in to our 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10 newscasts for coverage from Anthony.  Also, head to our Facebook page and 'like' us if you'd like us to continue our 'One of a Kind' road trip.
