An old fashioned train ride and a pizza challenge are two things Mike, Merril and Jenn could not pass up.  That's why we made Ellis our second stop in our 'One of a Kind' road trip.

Dozens of residents posted reasons to visit on our Facebook page.  Arthur Kindernecht posted, when you come to Ellis, I've got lunch - the 13 lb single topping 29 inch Challenge Pizza at Arthur's Pizza and Mexican Foods.   Alex Begler posted, take a ride on the miniature train ride that travels from the Museum and around to the campground.  The railroad is the reason Ellis was founded.

Ellis, a town of about 2,000 is located off of I-70 just west of Hays.  Our crew arrived Monday night and got right to work this morning, hanging out with residents and enjoying what Ellis has to offer.  Tuesday night, they'll be at the baseball game where high school seniors will be honored.

Tune in to our 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10 newscasts for coverage from Ellis.  Also, head to our Facebook page and 'like' us if you like what we're doing.  You can also chime in about your town and help us decide where to visit the rest of the week.
