(ELMWOOD, Okla.)—
A SUV slammed head-on into a van carrying workers to a Texas meatpacking plant early Wednesday, killing seven people
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Capt. Chris West says the Chevrolet Suburban was speeding along Highway 412 near the Oklahoma Panhandle town of Elmwood when it crossed the center line and crashed into a van.
The crash killed both drivers and five people inside the van.
The Kansans killed in the crash were all from Liberal. They are:
- Alejandro Lopez, 28
- Julio Perez, 25
- Rigoberto Garcia, 24
- Julio Morino, 27
- Sebastian Sucuqui Saquic, 21
- Juan Lorenzo, 56
The driver of the SUV, a man from Woodward, Oklahoma, also died in the crash.
