Two large groups assembled outside Campus High School Thursday afternoon.
One group led by parents contends bullying is a major problem at the school, because the administration doesn't punish bullies as they should. The other group consists strictly of students who say the school does take bullying very seriously, and it's not a major problem.
Earlier this week, parents of a Haysville student posted on Facebook about their daughter being bullied. They say she's in the hospital after being bullied.
"Bullying is alive in our schools," Miranda Miller says. "It's getting worse. My daughter tried to commit suicide over it."
Miller's Facebook post prompted hundreds of comments. The conversation online prompted the debate outside the school.
A spokeswoman for the district says they have a zero tolerance policy for bullying and take complaints seriously.
However, a handful of parents and students protested with signs saying enough is enough. They're trying to raise awareness to what they call a major issue at the school.
