Part of the Kansas Star Casino's permanent casino will open Dec. 12 in Mulvane.
“Opening only a portion of the new casino on December 12, allows us to minimize the number of days we will be closed,” said Scott Cooper, Kansas Star General Manager. “It’s a necessary part of the transition into our amazing new casino”
In preparation for the move to the facility, the casino will close at midnight on Dec. 10 until eight o'clock on Dec. 12. During that time, the casino will relocate 1,400 slot machines, 35 table games and other equipment to the permanent casino right next door.
The new facility will partially open on Dec. 12 with the grand opening on Dec. 21.
“Our guests can continue to expect the high level of customer service the Kansas Star has always provided,” adds Cooper. “But now they’ll enjoy it in a much larger and more beautiful facility.”
Three of the Kansas Star’s five restaurants will also open on the Dec. 12 with the rest opening later in the month. The adjoining 150-room Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel opened in late October.
