Accident on K-61 in Pratt County (Neil DePew, Pratt Tribune / December 17, 2012) |
A Stafford woman is dead following a three-vehicle accident in Pratt County on Monday.
The Kansas Highsway Patrol says two vehicles were headed eastbound on K-61, when one for them slowed or stopped to make a left turn onto NE 70th Ave. The second car struck the first car from behind and pushed it into the westbound lanes of K-61 where it was hit by an oncoming semi.
Virgina Sell, 78, of Stafford, was the driver of the first car. She was killed in the collision. The driver of the second vehicle was air-lifted to a Wichita hospital. She is now in fair condition. The driver of the semi and a passenger were not hurt.
