The United Way announces it met its annual fundraising goal this year. The organization raised more than $15.6 million.
The amount raised is about $1,000 more than the goal set by the United Way. This year's goal was a half million more than last year, which it also exceeded.
The money raised helps United Way support several non-profits in the community.
