It's a call we get frequently as soon as spring storm season begins.
Something along the lines of, "I live in Wichita, and you are a Wichita station. I don't care about storms across the Colorado border."
The answer is simple. While KWCH is headquartered in Wichita, we broadcast to the western two-thirds of the state....thousands of square miles.
And...this is important...we also have viewers just across the state lines in Nebraska, Oklahoma and...wait for it...Colorado.
You may not care about storms in those far-flung places, but the people who live there surely do.
Just as viewers in Kit Carson County, Colorado may not have much interest in storms around Wichita, but have to hear about them. And let's not forget that storms in eastern Colorado regularly move into Kansas.
