You may have already noticed a number of stories we're doing on the state's financial problems. We're titling them Money Trouble.
You might find results of our latest scientific poll interesting. SurveyUSA asked 500 adults in the area how concerned they are about state budget cuts to education.
63% said very concerned, and 23% said somewhat. But when it comes to taxes, only 43% of those responding said they would be willing to pay higher taxes for education. 47% said no
But here's a twist....more than half, 55%, say they support raising the state sales tax by one cent for the next three years.
