If you've been paying attention to this blog or watching KWCH, you may have noticed that I have been away for a while.

I underwent a total hip replacement on July 16.

The surgeon, Dr. Paul Pappedemos, originally told me to count on being out of action for at least four weeks.  Whether that was reflective of his doubts about my work eithic or doubts about his own surgical skill, I am not sure.

Instead,  I was able to return to work at least on a part time basis, in about two weeks.

I WILL credit that to Dr. Pappedemos' surgical skill.

And speaking of medical professionals, a big shout out to the nurses and staff on the 4th floor of Wesley Medical Center's Tower #4.

Thank you for all the help and  patience during those early, painful days. Thanks also for not yelling at me too much when I fell during that 3am attempt to get to the bathroom by myself.

Instead, you just gently poured me back into my bed.

Also, thanks to Doug and the rest of the staff at Faith Home Health Care.

The surgical procedure was successful, according to the people who know about such things.

It's a little early for me to celebrate yet, I'll wait till I' m  back on the golf course. That may be a while.

Thanks for the kind thoughts and messages.

Roger
