Just wanted to remind you that CBS and KWCH will be airing Wednesday's presidential debate at 8pm.
And so will who knows how many other channels....which will no doubt cause people to question why the same thing has to be on so many channels at the same time.
I guess the simplest reason is that each of the networks prides itself on being a reliable source of news and current events.
Neither of them wants to be seen as dropping the ball by carrying sit-coms or reality shows while others are providing something "important" like the debate.
And keep in mind, the local stations like KWCH couldn't decide to show regular programming even if we wanted to, because it's not available from CBS.
Last but not least, the debate IS pretty important, isn't it?
Putting aside the cynicism many viewers feel toward the election process, this IS your chance to see the two men who want to be your president debate the issues.
Maybe paying attention every four years is not such a bad thing.
