The CALM act is now in effect!
That doesn't mean you are to calm down, although that's often a good idea.
CALM stands for Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation.
It's an FCC regulation designed to keep commercials from being too loud compared to the program you're watching.
But it commpares the commercials to the AVERAGE audio level.
It doesn't mean you'll never hear a commercial that seems louder than something else.
And by the way, KWCH-12 and its sister stations have been compliance with the rule this entire year.
