A caller to our Answerback line wonders about Tuesday's Sunflower Showdown between Kansas and Kansas State.
He thinks the Shockers should be included to be a true Sunflower Showdown.
Obviously, Wichita State is having a great season.
But if I understand correctly, the phrase Sunflower Showdown was created specifically FOR the K-U K-State rivalry.
They use it during the football season, too...which obviously doesn't include WSU.
So, don't feel left out, Shocker fans.....just enjoy the season you're having.
