What a difference on little initial makes!
I was reminded of that Monday night.
We did a story on the Superbowl commercial featuring the late Paul Harvey's reading of "God Made a Farmer."
Chrysler sponsored the ad, which is getting a lot of attention in an agricultural state like Kansas.
For each viewing on-line, the company is making a donation to Future Farmers of America, or F-F-A for short.
Unfortunately, during Monday's 9-pm newscast, the script was written F-A-A, and that's the way I read it.
As soon as the words were out my mouth, I realized something didn't sound right.
But in the world of live television news, you don't always have the time to pause and figure out what just happened.
We heard from a few viewers by phone and internet, and we're able to correct the mistake at 10 o'clock.
It appears the F-A-A is regulating the nation's air travel without any additional support from Chrysler.
