Wichita's Spirit AeroSystems will be among the suppliers receiving work on the new Boeing Air Force refueling tanker project.
In February, Boeing was selected by the Pentagon to build the new tankers to replace the aging fleet of KC-135 tankers.
On Wednesday, the company announced the suppliers that will help provide parts and work on the new KC-46 tanker.
In Wichita Spirit Aerosystems will work on the forward fuselage section, along with strut and nacelle components including inlet, fan cowl, core cowl and fixed fan duct.
Boeing says the team on building the planes will include more than 800 suppliers in more than 40 states and support about 50,000 U.S. jobs.
In the past, Boeing has also said the plane will also bring more jobs to Boeing's Wichita facility. The company says it hopes to deliver 18 combat-ready tankers to the U.S. Air Force in 78 months.
