The Sedgwick County Election Office says things will go better on November 6th than they did on primary night.
“It’s been fixed now,” says Sedgwick County Election Commissioner Tabitha Lehman.
Shortly after polls closed in August, confusion began because results posted showing a majority of precincts reporting when only a few had actually been counted.
“There was a box checked that said those precincts were reported in,” says Lehman.
Lehman tells FactFinder 12 that her office has been in contact with the software company to fix the problem should it happen again. She says human error is what caused it.
Because of the error results were delayed on primary night with some races not called until close to midnight. Lehman says she's confident things will go better this time.
