(WICHITA, Kan.)—
A California city agrees to give jobs back to 13 lifeguards fired for making a parody video in their uniforms at the city pool.
The lifeguards made their own version of the "Gangnam Style" video by Korean rapper PSY- they said they were off the clock when they made the spoof, but the city of El Monte fired them for violating employee conduct standards and misuse of city property.
Now the city council says they can be rehired, in the hopes they'll cooperate with a review of aquatic center management.
At least a couple of the lifeguards say they fear they'll be returning to a hostile environment and they aren't sure they want to go back. Read more here and see the video.
