Colorado lawmakers will be asked this session, to change the state's liquor law. There's a proposal to let parents buy alcohol for their children at bars and restaurants if the child is at least 18, but not yet 21.
The idea comes from a lawmaker who wanted to buy a drink for his daughter on her 20th birthday. He says parents should be able to buy their adult children drinks in the places that allow on-site drinking.
Dozens of states have exceptions to the National Drinking age. Check out the information put together here by Procon.org.
