The British Government has launched a criminal investigation in to horse meat being sold in imported beef products. First, hamburgers sold through a supermarket chain were found to contain horse DNA. Now, horse meat has been discovered in packs of beef lasagna in concentrations ranging from 60% to 100%.
There is no known health risk from horse meat, but there's concern it may be tainted with the veterinary drug phenylbutazone  that's not allowed to enter the food chain.
